I have lived at Nothcastle for going on 5 years. I have been through 3 or 4 Managers there. In the 4 years that I have lived here the place has come together more than I have noticed in some time. A co-worker of mine told me about this site because he was looking for an apartment. I decided to check it out and see what other people thought. To my surprise I saw nothing but negativity and then realized that these were the tenants who couldn't pay rent or skipped (the industy term). Every apartment complex has it's problems and there was a time when our maintenence was very poor. I know they hired someone who did get the job done better and faster than any other maintenece man I have ever seen but they let him go. This was the corporate decision not the complex's decision. They have since hired maintenece and it has been better from what I hear from neighbors. Safety has improved since the Manager Mr. Johnson has been there. As I said I had been there for about 3 years and my car had been broken into twice. Beside me being more careful I see the manager and some of the other tenants who walk the property ensuring that there are no potential thieves, a watch program if you will. Since that program has started there has been less crime by far in the complex. Forget the people who have not had anything good to say. Bottom line is "You have to pay your rent!" If you are behind in your rent don't expect them to come running to your door to fix something. There are tenants there who do pay on time and they are a priority. AT least that is the way I would treat it. I have been in the customer service field for 25 years. That's just the way it works. Also the ratings below are not very helpful since Northcastle is remodling right now.

I pay my rent on time every month, yet they still took almost two months to fix my broken air conditioner. When my apartment flooded becasue of a faulty water heater it took two weeks for them to figure out where the leak was coming from. During that time I had no hot water and a lot of my clothes and personal items were ruined. They offered no reimbursement or assistance of any kind. Eventually I had to ask for a transfer to another apartment. The staff has a very high turnover rate. The bottom line is that this is NOT a good place to live.

Hmmm...this reviewer seems to have an inside on the payment status of those complaining about maintenance. Surely a barely literate review like that wouldn't come from someone among the shiftless office staff...would it???

I agree with drti3256--just another lie. I pay my rent own time as well. Nothing has been fixed. Still have water leaks and no water pressure in the bathroom which causes sewage backup an overflows. There are 2 swimming pools on the property and neither are 'open' to residents. As a matter of fact they look disgusting!! It is almost July!!!! they are not open to the residents. The large wash room has 8 washing machines. Currently 2 are in service but I notice that it is leaking water again. What's up with that? There are several machines that have stagnant water and gnats flying around!!!This is a hazard. Oh? did I forget to mention the numerous sewage overflows on the property??

I lived there for 2 years. Never late with rent. Management was cool but the apartments just plain sucked.
