The Archstone office staff/management is outstanding. It made this property a pleasurable place to live.
The amenities leave something to be desired, the pool is very small, the fitness center even smaller. But, there are fresh baked cookies available everyday!
As for the grounds, they could have been kept cleaner. Pet waste was abundant and the backside of my apartment faced a creek that was polluted with trash (I was told that the land back there is not part of the archstone property). Parking was limited in front of the building. There were usually enough spaces for the tennants, but guests many times had problems finding a place at night.
The neighborhood is in a great location, convenient to downtown, shops, and restaurants. You have pretty much everything you need in walking distance. However, car break-ins were frequent. I was fortunate not to have been bothered, but two of my neighbors were not so lucky. Having said that, I never feared for my personal safety as it was in a rather priviledged neighborhood.
Overall, it's a great place to live for college students (it can get noisy sometimes as a result of all the students). However, a professional may want to upgrade.
