Do NOT Live Here....A LONG Explanation why...

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006
This is the WORST apartment complex that I have ever lived in, and unfortunately I have lived here for two years. The first month after my roommates and I had moved in, my toilet broke and was leaking. I called the office and they had someone come out to fix it. They ended up installing a new toilet, but somehow they didn't notice that the toilet was too big, and therefore the bathroom door would not shut. When we called them back they were really hesitant to fix the door because "at least the toilet worked." Finally we had a maintanence guy come out and change the toilets. However when he went to throw the old toilet away in the dumpster, he missed and it broke and cut his cheek. That weekend was his wedding and the next time he came to our apartment he told me roommate that it was "all our fault that his wedding pictures were ruined" and that his wife was really mad at him. Last September we noticed that the food in our kitchen pantry had holes in it. We went to HEB and bought some mouse traps and ended up "catching" a rat instead. The rats lived in our walls, ate our food, made holes and got into our apartment, and laid their feces all over our laundry room and apartment. They made nests in the walls, had babies and ran around for months. We told the complex about this over and over and they finally moved us to a different building in January. The managment's excuse was that "nobody else has complained about rats." So..apparently they thought we were lying. When they moved us into this new building we asked them that they make sure all the holes and washer/drier connections that ran outside be covered and "rodent proof." They told us that everything was and that we would've have any problems. Last night at about 1am I went down into our laundry room to put my pet rabbit in his cage and when I did I noticed that there was 1/2 of a dead rat laying on the floor bleeding. I called my roommate down that was home and when we went back into that room there was not only the dead rat, but a large oppossum eating it. We got my rabbit out of that room (thank god) and shut the door. When then called the emergency line and left 2 messages between 2am and 8am. We never got a returned call. Around 10am my roommate called the management again and they said it would be fixed. During our lunch break today we went into the office and asked them if it had been taken care of yet and they had NO idea. They even called the head maintanence man and he didn't know if it had been taken care of either. We only have one more month at Oak Hollow and asked if we could be reimbursed for this last month since they had not closed the holes that they had promised us before. The manager ended up calling us back a little bit later and told us that we could have our money back if we moved out TODAY because she "has plenty of people on a waiting list that want our apartment." In other words, she was trying to get us to just get out so she could take advantage of someone else.
I know that this apartment complex is primarily made up of college students, and the management knows that as well. They are rude, they act as though they are better than you, and they have NO sense of what care and customer service means. We have had nothing but rude service from these people and I can't wait to move out.
If at all possible, don't move here. I would recommend Juniper Springs right across Greystone. It's a little bit more expensive, but it is totally worth it.
Good Luck!
