The simple problem of this complex is lack of up-to-date equipment. The boiler frequently goes out... and believe me when I say that taking a freezing cold shower at six in the morning ANY time of year is unpleasant. Also, the furnaces that the complex uses are decades old and have tendencies to simply not work. I've had half a dozen instances where the pilot would go out, and when relit, would not STAY lit. Very frustrating; very cold. Also, I have had my share of unwanted guests from the world of rodents as well. The parking lot at this complex is badly damaged with no signs of intentions to repair.
In general, the place is poorly maintained. Instead of actually solving problems, they come up with the band-aid metaphor and provide short term "easy fixes" to problems that run deep- problems that would require more money than the owners are willing put out, apparently.
I am very thankful that I only signed a six month lease and can leave at the end of this month.
