New Management is not making this place worth living at

My over all experience with this place has been bad, especially with the new management.
Simply put: the apartments are old. Therefore, you'll have certain problems because of it. Bugs in the summer (big cockroaches...a few interesting experiences with those in the bedrooms), poor insulation/circulation, floors squeak so bad upstairs, both interior and exterior walls are thin (you can hear your next door neighbors and people walking by or standing out side, as well as other people in the house, even downstairs). And the tiles and bathtub were just painted over with non-water proof paint. So it's pealing off the wall.

We've had several incidents with maintenance, for a sewage pipe leaking in the kitchen. Took several trips to fix it. Light fixture fell and broke in kitchen, have yet to replace covering. Fridge stopped working a month ago, took several calls and 3 days to get someone to fix it right, and it's on it's way out again.

Management is exceptionally unhelpful. When they switched new management, we had just renewed our lease. The transition failed to inform the new management that we signed for a deal to get our next months rent half off, and shortly after, we received a notice to vacate. Soon after, same thing with the separate trash and pest fee, which we had just paid. Now, with our notice to move out, the old management didn't leave anything for the new management that we were leaving, so we have to pay a fine and 11 extra days of pro-rated rent for going over the lease, which comes out to more than what we usually pay for rent. Then they wanted to charge us more than that, until we got mad and brought a copy of our lease to them. It took us many tries to get the exact amount we owed them. One of the guys working there told us to just estimate how much we thought and write a check for that. The manager told us to do the same for our last water bill. Not really professional to me. We were also told that it was our responsibility to pay attention to the notices they sent out to renew our lease or give notice, of which they claimed they sent multiple ones. We come and go through the door multiple times a day and never once received a notice to renew/give notice. Ever. Most of the new people working here have no idea what they're doing, and one of the leasing consultants will have no problem giving you an attitude, talking down to you, and just generally being unpleasant.

However, I shall leave a few pro's of this place:
Right on FW Shuttle line and 19 route (although the 19 route only comes about every 45mins or so). Close to HEB and other shopping center with CVS, Post-office about 2 blocks away). Near Mount Bonell. Small trail near creek that splits the apartment place in 2 (though not very well kept). 3 pools (though 2 of them were out for part of the summer, and aren't kept clean very often). Tennis court (which has weeds growing in it). Recycling area (that's on the other side of the apartment complex from us, not near any local dumpsters at all). Decent apartment office hours.

Have got to agree. The best thing that could happen at oak hollow(as I refuse to capitalize their title) is for it to be sued, sold, vacated, and redone from the core-out. Fought with the old regeime and lost BIGTIME. They towed my car with NO realistic method of notice other than convincing themselves that "everybody got the memo that we were gonna paint" $260 afternoon for a single father- thanks oak hollow, may the Easter Bunny bring you all a lump of coal, or maybe a lump of something else....

We also have paint peelings in our bathtub and also kitchen sink! How embarrassing! Colddwaternmold, I am sorry that your car got towed away! FYI, I am the same author who wrote the review of Oak Hollow Apartment regarding a rat living inside my oven that cause a foul smell and the apartment manager would not do anything about it.
