The problem with this apartment is not the building itself, but the incompetent management. It seems like every 6 months the whole staff got replaced because of incompetance, but unfortunately the new staff is not better.
They keep "forgetting" what the previous staff promised.
If you move in, make sure keep the copy of every documents, and write down and get the signiture of the staff who promises something.
I really don't recommend this apartment.

Every apartment staff is like that anyway. Not just this apartment at Oak Hollow. They are so busy with paperworks everyday that they can easily forget what was promised by other staffs. We could not really blame on the staffs for forgetting things. Too many residents live here...impossible for them to remember each tenants' needs. Try that for yourself, haha! Yes, I agree with you about keeping all of the necessary documents for proof, etc which will be very useful. I have lived in this apartment for almost a year now....I can leave some reviews: It's not too bad to live here. Yes, it needs renovation badly. Roaches kept coming in my house during night time which means there are some (or many?) small openings where roaches can come in where I could not see. Mice/rats came in my house twice so far. The apartment manager (Susan) seem much better now for some reason. (maybe Susan's supervisor had a big talk with her and she improved?) The maintenance staffs are very good about getting things fixed except for the heater. I dont think they fixed my heater very well. The maintenance staffs are friendly. Nice and quiet here. Many (serious?) UT students, Jewish people, and families with children live here which makes it a nice and quiet place to live in. (that is what it is like on my side of apartment area). If you decide to move here, I dont think you will have a problem living here except for many repairs in the apartment because it is old (and cheaply built, etc). The apartment manager and maintenance staffs are fine as long as you give them peace. I do not know about those new leasing consultants because we kept getting new staffs in the office, so I do not know what they are like right now. (So far, this leasing consultant seem nice and friendly to me.)

Oak Hollow staff is truly incompetent beyond belief though.
