OK place, but you have to pay attention

I've lived here for a little while now, and have to admit that things could be better. I've had some serious issues with my apartment: roof leaks, rats in apartment during the summer, etc. All these issues were resolved, but only after much noise-making on my part. Management does listen and will try to get things resolved, but they are limited by the parameters allowed by the company that owns the property. I think some of the delay in getting things done is simply due to the fact that they cost more than they want to spend, but yes, for now, the leaking stopped, and there haven't been any more rodents inside my unit (we'll see this summer). The walls are pretty thin, and most people here are young college students who don't care about their neighbors (though management has been pretty good about listening to complaints and notifying the offenders). In all honesty, it's an OK place if you know how to stand up for yourself and keept an eye on the repairs needed in your unit.
