I have been in this complex for... oh.... about.... WOW!!! It has not even been a stinking month yet! Lets back up a bit... Shall we' I visited this complex and loved the beauty of it, flowers, trees, greenbelt, all of the people walking their pets... just beautiful. I suppose I moved here for the same reason most did, its just beautiful... BUT... When I arrived with my loaded moving van, the apartment I was supposed to move into smelled putridly of cat urine so badly that I refused to move in. The management had refused to let me see this apartment for an entire month before moving in, and well, when I smelled it I knew why. Of course the apartment management said they smelled nothing. They hurried me into a much smaller apartment that lacked the vaulted ceilings, and fireplace I was to have originally. The apartment I moved into is tiny, but has a beautiful view. So the first night I spend in my lovely new apartment, the dog from the upstairs apartment introduces himself by barking non stop for the next 6 hours. The tenants above me introduce themselves by pounding the headboard and squeeky springs against the floor at around... oh... 4:30AM!!! You can hear every single solitary step their little dog takes above me, and believe me, he takes A LOT!!! Being a student, and Im sure lots of former and current students are reading this.... Sleep is very much required. Since moving into this complex, I have had to wear earplugs to sleep, and take sleep aid to sleep every night. It is even hard to write papers for school or work, or watch tv, because of the pounding from above. I swear, if I had to guess, I would say the dog wrestles the spin cylce for 5 hours every night above me!!! I average about... 4 hours of sleep a night these days.

I have asked the apartment complex to A) let me out of the lease, or b) move me to an upstairs apartment where I can live in peace. Management is having nothing to do with either of the two above options. I asked them to move me into an upstairs apartment, but since they have their little 6 month transfer policy, even though I didnt chose the apartment they shoved me into... Im stuck. Not a place I want to be!

The complex otherwise is ok... but then again, Ive only been here for a few weeks.... only 8 months to go! 24 weeks, 224 days! Im going to be sick.
