I lived at Oak Run for a year and a half and the only reason I moved is because I wanted a house. The apartments are old and have neat floorplans. Also, the upstaris apartments have vaulted ceilings, which made my 1 bed/1 bath feel really large. The kitchen is tiny, but has a laundry room in it (upstairs apts. only). The bedroom is really big with a huge walk-in closet with built in shelving, so there is a lot of storage space. The staff is really great and helpful. Also, it was a great place for my dog. The complex is spread out over a large, semi-wooded area, so it feels more like a commune. There is a great walking trail with pooper scooper mit stations. They allow really large pets to live there and I have a black lab, so that was great for us. Also, they have dog biscuits in the leasing office and you can bring your dog in there. There are 3 pools for all the different areas of the complex and an awesome work out room. You pay like a one time fee of $35 and get an electronic pass to the room and you can usually get it to yourself if you go during the day. It's really like a community there, too. People talk to each other. Some of my new neighbors even helped me unload the moving trcuk when I moved in. I did have a problem with my next door neighbor for the first year because was ultra-sensitive to noise and had a really rude way of telling me I was too loud. We had to get the staff involved, but no matter how many times he called them on me, I never got in trouble. They just tried to mediate the situation. But Oak Run is an awesome community and most people that live there are very South Austin. It's great and I would live there again if I were ever to go back to an apartment.

I agree it is a very pet friendly place too bad the oweners do not pick up after their dogs. Cats use the grounds has a litter box so the smell outside is pretty bad.
