I have lived here for 7 months and have NO complaints. Any problems have been promptly and professionally taken care of by the great maintenance and front office staff. I love the natural surroundings and huge fenced off-leash area for my dog to socialize and run around. My floorplan is one bedroom one bathroom with a study. I'm on the third floor with vaulted ceilings, a fireplace with great tile and mantle detailing, and a great secluded porch with beautiful scenery outside. I have NEVER had a rat, NEVER had my car broken into (get an alarm..you live in the city), NEVER had an issue with mgmt or staff whatsoever, NEVER met a neighbor I couldn't appreciate, and NEVER regretted moving in here. I am living alone for the first time and feel safe here with the regular routes of the security guards. I'm also a generally responsible person who follows generally acceptable guidelines to stay safe :-) duh.
When I apartment hunted for the south Austin area, this was the only place I found with w/d connections. It was also the most sq footage for the lowest rent. I have lived in 3 different apartments before this, and this has been the best experience yet.
As mentioned by others, keep in mind that when someone has a bad dr appointment, sales rep, living situation, they love love love to tell the world. Unfortunately, when people have wonderful experiences, they feel less compelled to share that info with the world :-) I LOVE OAK RUN!!! COME SEE FOR YOURSELF :-)

Dear Management, Could you please get a little more creative in disguising your posts? Everyone can tell that management wrote this review. What tenant is going to come to this site to describe their floorplan, the route of the security guards (which i have yet to see), to scold other people for not having a car alarm or for not being "generally responsible people who accept safe guidelines." Plus, in one place you say that you are living alone for the first time, and then a couple of sentences later you say that you have lived in 3 other apartments before this. A potential tenant is NOT going to start with an assumption that other tenants are idiots and use terms such as "duh?" The sad thing is that it reveals the underlying attitudes of the management here, and what they really feel or believe about tenants. Nice on the outiside, but underneath we are just a bunch of idiots who bring our own problems on ourselves. If you read through the 100 posts here, you will see this consistent attitude toward tenants in the posts written by the management. Yes, most people who come to this site do so with complaints. obviously. but that is the purpose of this site. it is a site for potential tenants to hear the types of criticisms former tenants have (and of course every complex has them. it's to provide information and to let potential tenants make up their own mind based on accurate information. we can weed through disgruntled crap--we are NOT idiots like management seems to think. we can make our own evaluation. we ask: what types of problems can we live with? what are the issues that are important to me and my situation in particular? some people care about loud noise, others dont. some care about exterior, others don't. we want INFORMATION to make up our own minds, not deception from fraudulent posters. this site is about freedom of speech--not fraud, not getting the management's point of view, and certainly not getting the management's view with the tagname "anonymous." if management is willing to be deceptive here, then one wonders whereelse? a business should be confident in its product and services, letting them speak for themselves; not lying about what they are and advertising on a site that is NOT ABOUT ADVERTISEMENTS, and forbids their presence unless they expressly identify themselves. cowards. |
