Multiple Car Break ins

The bottom line, Oak Run has a bad crime problem and they're not doing anything about it. I have only lived at Oak Run for 6 months and between me and my girlfriend we've had our cars broken into THREE times! We've lived in Austin for years with no crime problems and had three break ins in six months at Oak Run. Aside from our own cars I've seen broken windows all over the complex and can only assume they are break ins that occurred at Oak Run as well. They take forever to fix things as well. Practically on a daily basis another light around the complex goes out and stays out for way too long. I've brought this up with the office multiple times and the issue continues to worsen. The treadmill in the Fitness Room has been broken for months, there is a sign on it claiming there is a scheduled repair date but that date is months old, typical Oak Run. The crime infuriates me but aside from that you don't really get your money's worth here either. The apartments are really old and falling apart. (One of my kitchen drawers completely fell apart.) Expect high utility bills as the apartments are poorly insulated, expect dirty grounds much of the time, expect VERY dim parking lots with many spaces (including my assigned spot) in complete darkness at night. I've lived on East Riverside and it was better than this, enough said.
