Slum Lords!

I was one of the 13 units in this small complex that flooded. This was clearly more to do with negligence on the part of the property than with weather.
The property left all of the units wet and dirty with leaves. They sprayed a mold treatment on the carpets, then left the carpets to air dry for 2 weeks during the 'rainy season.' Any carpet company will tell you that industrial fans need to be put in each room directly after the flood to prevent mold growth, or the mold treatments will do NO good.
The property management would not offer any accommodations or help with any of the tenants during these horrible living conditions. Tenants were expected to live in the dirty, wet, unhealthy conditions. The air is so bad that your eyes start to burn the minute you step foot in the place.
On top of losing valuable personal effects and furniture, the property refused to release people from their lease.
