I lived at Oak Run for 5 years and although the buildings are "old" according to the rebuild the whole city is sustaining, it has the charm that you cannot duplicate with any high-rise or new community. The most stunning aspect is the trees themselves. My dog and I had many nice walks and made lots of friendly neighbors. This is a great community to live in, however, if you like nice things, this is not the place for you. If you like animals and making friends on the way to pick up a 6 pack who invite you in for a drink and to play guitar, then this is where you belong. Please be kind to the lady with Alzheimer's as she's lived there for quite some time and I believe her and her hairless dog love the place as well. I lived on the 2nd floor/greenbelt and it was fabulous. I only moved out because I bought a house. There are lots of people there who have been there for years and are a bit older. It seemed to attract divorcees.

I would only add to not move into the bottom floor - I mean, hello, you can see the dirt pile up to the door...it means it will flood. Also, bug the maintenance people...it's the only way. They've gotten a lot better but the place still needs some TLC. qmzu4EHcaGAPVCPw2Fai

It's so funny when someone who works there writes a review. This place is a dump and is run so poorly.

uhhhh...no i do not work there...i have a much better job than working there...i haven't lived there in a year and a half tho.
