Not planning to renew lease again next year

I've been a tenant here for over 2 years now. When I first moved in, the grounds were really nice. The grass looked great, the grounds were well maintained, pool was cleaned daily, etc.
I noticed that over time, things started to go downhill. The maintenance staff had changed and service was becoming very poor. Things were not being fixed properly and it was difficult to communicate with the maintenance staff since their English was very limited. The grounds weren't being kept up and you could see garbage scattered around. Maintenance requests were taking longer and longer to be attended to, as well.
There has never been enough dumpsters in this complex for the number of people or apartments, so garbage will pile up horribly around the dumpster by the time trash day would arrive, making the complex look terrible!
Someone decided, when they designed the grounds, that flowering trees would look good right next to the swimming pool. Unfortunately, the wind constantly blows the flowers off of the tree and into the pool, where they would accumulate in the corners resembling something that almost looked like vomit. Definitely did not make the pool very inviting.
There used to be a basketball court near the pool, however the nets were always being torn up and bent. The surface was never level, and after rain there would be standing water covering up to half the surface for days, or even weeks. Eventually the basketball court was bulldozed and a picnic area was set up instead. The trees that were planted there have looked dead from the beginning, it might look better if the trees start to thrive. The grass around the grounds is now yellowed/brown and looks terrible. I think they should hire a different landscaping company.
Plumbing seems to have some problems, the toilets in the apartment get stopped up on a regular basis. I'm not sure if it's like that throughout the entire complex, or just this apartment. The master bedroom gets very little air conditioning and heat, but the other bedrooms get more than enough.
When I first moved in, I was thrilled with the size of the apartment, despite the lack of counter space in the kitchen, and how nice it looked around the complex overall. I have now decided that I will not renew my lease again for another year since things only seem to be getting worse, instead of better.
On the brighter side, if you like ice cream, this is the place to live. We have about a dozen ice cream trucks drive through this complex on a daily basis, loud music and all.
I hope this information is helpful.
*Edit 7/19/07 - Criminal activity on or near the grounds has greatly increased recently. Management informed us today via informational notice that a murder has occured in the immediate area. This, on top of the vandalism, noise, etc. makes the property not only unappealing, but downright scary. Afraid to even think of renewing lease again for another year.

What this person here says, is all true. s/he did not exaggerate a bit, I could even say s/he missed quite a few things to mention that would make anyone unwilling to rent here.
