Try to keep things in perspective

Anyone reading the previous reviews below should make note of a couple things to keep proper perspective when deciding on whether to live here.
First of all, people usually only leave these reviews when they are upset about something. People who are satisfied with their accommodations usually don't take the time to write a review about it. I am only doing so because it came to my attention that so many negative comments were made about my current place of residence. Take a look at the reviews of other places nearby, they are just as bad. People like to complain.
Second, you get what you pay for. I have a feeling that a bunch of the complainers are used to living with their mommy and daddy and don't realize when you rent the cheapest place around it's not going to be luxurious.
Third, there are issues with the place. The main issue is that the way the A/C is set up causes inconsistent temperatures so it is often cold during the day and hot at night. If you are as sensitive to the temperature as some of my neighbors seem to be then don't move here. The only time it has become unbearable for me is when someone breaks into the master thermostat and like a complete moron either turns the A/C way down or the heat way up to the detriment of everyone. Selfish.
The fact that you have to share a bathroom with a stranger is also a downside for most people. But who knows, maybe you'll make a new friend.
Any other issues like bugs, parking, and maintenance are going to be on par with any other apartments in the area. I have seen three or four roaches since I've been here and a few ants. I haven't lived here for a summer so I don't know if insects are worse then.
This place is actually very quiet, unfortunately the La Fiesta Apartments next door live up to their name on a regular basis, but try finding a place near campus that isn't noisy on the weekends.
Fourth, the benefits. Free cable/internet, free electricity, free water, free washer and dryer which you only have to wait to use on the weekends. In other words, everything is included in what you pay. I have no idea how much this saves you but I bet it is at least $100/mo. So it would be like paying approx. $525 for a place that doesn't pay any bills. If you can find a cheaper place to live, go for it, but I can guarantee it will have just as many issues as this place and then some.
Finally, as far as the personal attacks on Machelle, keep in mind the people that have these issues with her are probably unpleasant people themselves because they go out of their way to slander her in using this forum. I have no idea if there is any merit to the claims of deceit and lies, my experience suggests otherwise. I've found her to be pleasant, more hands-on and more involved and personal than your typical landlord. I'm guessing people will probably write scathing responses to my review so they can include their tales of deceit in their response for your evaluation.
So my advice to you is to consider the factors and know what you are getting yourself into. People who move into the cheapest place they can find and then are dismayed to find out that it isn't perfect in every way are delusional and their comments should be ignored. I consider this place to be everything I need and nothing I don't, I didn't expect anything close to perfection when I moved in and so I have actually been more than satisfied. If you have a similar mindset then I can fully recommend this place to you. Otherwise...

William, your analogy of my logic is sadly inaccurate. If I apply your analogy to what I wrote it would come out like this: If you have sex without protection with random strangers there's a good chance you're going to get an STD. I have had the issues, I just clearly deal with them in a more constructive manner than you. However, you do reinforce my point, though you seem to have missed it, which is that people who expect perfection from the cheapest apartment around are delusional and SHOULD NOT LIVE HERE. Translation: I am not recommending this apartment to people like you. You have the nerve to call Machelle pathetic and vindictive as you yourself are in the process of making a cowardly personal attack over the internet. You are clearly the pathetic and vindictive one, I actually can't believe that you used those words because they sum you up so perfectly. You need to stop and think for a second that you are saying this stuff about a real person. The reason you had the experience you did with Machelle is because this is the type of person you are. I have now seen people come and go from Park Place and it's always creepers like yourself that she has issues with and I am thankful for it because it is nice not having you around. I am a little disappointed that I lowered myself to the level of responding to you, please stop posting hateful things about Machelle and move on with your life.
