The 1st week that I moved in, Joyce, the leasing manager decided to talk to me about the stickers on my car. She said there had been several complaints and asked me to remove my "anti-christian" sticker (actually, anti-preaching) and ALSO my "I'm pro-choice and I vote" sticker. I should have called ACLU, but I didn't, I told her I'd leave the pro-choice one up and take the other one down. She also told me if she had seen what my car looked like before I moved in she wouldn't have let me sign the lease (when my Mom, who was the co-signer, confronted her she said that it was because the police told her people with those cars usually do drugs). She was rude the entire time I was there, but then the horribleness happened when I moved out. She claimed that my carpet was "soaked with cat urine", a total lie, she threatened to have the apartment re-plastered (!) because she said there were so many staple holes. 2 years later when I was trying to get an apartment I was told I had a bad spot on my history. Apparently I had a $150 bill that she never sent me notification about. She told the new apartments that I had noise complaints and late payments, both of which never happened. This is all 100% true, just check out the other reviews to get the facts. I can't believe she hasn't been reported to the BBB, hopefully someone will eventually.

The Park Apartments, LLC, are a member of the Austin Apartment Association, the Texas Apartment Association and the National Apartment Association. It has been our experience that very often negative comments posted on this website are by residents who have been evicted for non payment of rent or other lease violations or who have never actually lived on the property. Be cautious in assuming the truthfulness of postings by anonymous persons who refuse to disclose their identity. We recommend that visiting with current residents onsite is a more reliable method of obtaining third-party opinions about our apartment community and its management. Park Apartments, LLC, Austin, TX

In response to the responses : this is a completely true comment. And the reason it took so long to write about this unfortunate incident is because I had just found this wonderful website. Just look at the Multitude of comments on this website about the landlady and judge for yourself.

I have to agree in response to the landlady, Joyce. is she still working there? compared to other apartments in the 78741 area zip code, the apartment is quite nice and well taken care of. Joyce is a psycho woman.. don't know whats wrong with her

I am noticing a trend here. Does anyone know how it is now, in 2008??? I do not think that I will be able to live here with such bias and ignorance from the mgmt.
