I lived in The Pastures apartments two different times. I loved the neighborhood, I loved my neighbors in the complex and I actually loved my apartment. The laundry room was kept fairly clean and was convenient and I loved that there are peacocks from Green Pastures wandering around with thier "families". I had very few complaints; window units and painted countertops were two.

When I moved out for the final time a few years ago...I gave notice, I actually *cleaned* my apartment, with bleach! I took out all of my belongs and basically left it the way I found it. I got my whole deposit back...yes, every penny...and this was when Al was the owner. I will say that the first time I moved out to finish college, I had a dispute with the manager about cleaning charges...after several pointed letters and phone calls, I got my deposit returned as well.

All in all, I lived at The Pastures for 4 years and I did not notice anything that the below are referring to...it was a decent, cheap, small and fairly well maintained complex. I have driven by since the new owners and it looks like it is only getting better...better colors, central air and a more modern feel.

A lot of reviewers seem like sour grapes
