Energy Inefficent and Manager Sucks

The windows are not double paine and the appliances espcially the stackable washer and dryer are cause for a really high electric bill. On average for this less than 540 sq ft apartment on average my bill was $150/month.

This place heats up rapidly. My apartment was rarely under 75 degrees and the air conditioning was kicking on constantly. I'd recommend not using the oven nor stove. I guess if you're reading this in the winter it could be a good thing!'

The parking is horrible. Everyone is given a sticker for their vehicle and an extra visitor parking tag. Tonia, the apartment manager, will probably not promise you definite parking because their is not ample parking. On occasion I had to park on the street on the side of the complex.

My brother and boyfriend were towed so seriously don't temp your luck and allow your guests to park without the sticker even for a minute

When I moved in it was a very diverse crowd. Really laid back people. It was kind of a pot head community.

I'd recommend you get everything in writing from Tonia when you speak to her to confirm apartment work orders. I had several probblems with the a/c that went unaddressed and at the end there was a bug infestation.

The manager and her closet case husband will come off as amiable but I will advise you once again retain confirmation on all communication you have with them.

When I was to move out at the end of my contract she did not accept my 30 day notice of move out because she said it was not complete. It was complete. She was wanting extra papers to be turned in with the 30 day move out noticed but she backed off when I began referring to the contract that only a move out letter was needed. It took her 2 weeks to come back to me that she was not going to charge me 2 weeks for October which would have been totally rediculous.

So seriously send in your 30 day notice by certified mail or have a person around to verify. Have proof of all communication with her I can't stress that enough.

Also, she might make the comment to you about locked your doors in your vehicle because of the "transients" that walk down woodward. Seriously, lock your door. My car was broken into but luckily nothing stolen. Apparently someone just used it as their hotel. The only thing taken out of my vehicle was an Ozarka water jug.

If you're looking for a quiet place this is not it

Large dogs are allowed. I was even going to be allowed to bring in a PitBull mix.
