Why are people so bitter'

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2005
I lived at Pinto Creek from the spring of 2001 until the fall of 2005 and I absolutely loved the place. I'm not sure why so many people would put the place down. It makes me believe that the majority of people who write reviews do so because they are upset with the complex for some reason or other. How many people who like an apartment are going to go out of their way to write a review, or much less, even think about writing one' I never knew of review sites like this one until my friend needed to find a new place and stumbled across one during his search. I decided to check out my old place and I find that it is being put down by people that were probably far from being the perfect residents. Please take into consideration that the results of these ratings are going to be skewed and they are not a fair representation of the apartment itself.
With that being said...
Parking - sufficient, but not very well lit. Even when I lived there both my roomate and my car were both broken into (a one time event over the course of four years, it can happen anywhere). Yet, I was never the least bit afraid walking through the parking lot at night. Also, the free covered parking is very nice.
Noise level - absolutely quiet in every unit I lived in (which was 4 units by the way. Everything from a small one bedroom all the way up to the largest 2/2 that overlooks the city).
Grounds - I thought it was a beautiful complex considering it's location. I can't give it 5 stars because I've seen better, but it is still very well taken care of (don't give me grief for ending a sentence in a preposition...).
Safety - I felt extremely safe in this complex, but as I said above, the lighting could be improved. I don't know anything about a murder either. If you are concerned about that, check the police reports, it's the only fair way, everything else is hearsay.
Construction - considering it's age, it must be well built. It's a nice looking place and I never had any issues with anything falling apart or looking horrible.
Maintenance - Didn't really need maintenance too much. I like to fix things myself if possible. If I ever had any issues they must have been taken care of promptly because I can't recall any issues.
Office Staff - When I moved in the staff was simply amazing! As time went on and the original staff moved along, the replacements weren't remotely as cordial. I can't say they are bad or unprofessional just not as personable.
After living in 5 complexes over the past 10 years, I would definitely put Pinto Creek near the top of the list. You must consider the location of these apartments so that you may have a higher respect for them. I'll admit East Riverside is not exactly paradise, and PC does a good job of making you feel safe and comfortable at a reasonable price. I'd definitely recommend these apartments!
Oh, the "problem" of homeless people living outside the woods is BS. That was in early 2000's before the wooded area on the corner of riverside and wickersham were cut down. Now it is a relatively empty and clear lot. Also, not once has anyone ever asked me for money in the parking lot (at the Albertson's across the street is a different story).
