hmm..where do i start' well, everything you hear here is true. they charge you for everything when moving out, after they already ripped you for the rent, even at $495/month, that's wayyyy too much for this rat-hole! The security is a joke, our car was broke into, window smashed, stereo stolen. also, on a seperate occasion, tires were slashed-some security; in fact, it was probably the security who did it! the a/c went out the first week we we there and it took a week to get someone to look at it. there were 2 murders in one week across the street. this was the absolute worst experience and most miserable 9 months of my life! the cleaning crew stole the cable box and probably sold it for drugs..they staged a messy kitchen and took pictures to "prove" of the mess left behind. i could go all day. Please, do yourself a favor and don't waste your time/money/security by getting ripped off by these scum bags!!

The Point South Apartments and its management company have been members of the Austin Apartment Association, Texas Apartment Association and the National Apartment Association for over 20 years. It has been our experience that very often negative comments posted on this website are by residents who have been evicted for nonpayment of rent or other lease violations, or who have never actually lived on the property, or by competitors. A disgruntled resident can post negative comments as a form of retaliation against management. It should be made clear that most of these negative comments are grossly exaggerated or simply untrue. Be cautious in assuming the truthfulness of postings by anonymous persons who refuse to disclose their identity. We are proud of our property and of the excellent relationships that we have with many of our residents. We recommend that visiting with current residents onsite is a far more reliable method of obtaining third-party opinions about our apartment community and its management. I lived there and shared the exact same experience. You basically sign your life away with the lease. They have the right to charge you for anything. Outrageous prices for wiping off a counter or appliance - things that take literally less than 1 minute to do. Crime is unbelievably bad. Had to call police on a weekly basis for various issues. Security, or lack thereof, does absolutely nothing. Repairs and maintenance take days or weeks, and the staff is the most two faced bunch of scorpion women I've ever met.

I've lived her for almost 2 years and have never had MOST of the experiences you all did. Yes, they do try to charge you for anything. But, if you give a few hours to cleaning your apartment and leaving it better then when you got it...you would not have this problem! After you get to know the staff and not yell at them like a bunch of babies, they are really cool. All staff live on site, so for you to say that maintenance takes weeks to get to your apartment is a lie. Unless you asked them to do it during the BIG move out days when they are all busy getting the move out apts cleaned for the new residents. Yeah these apts are not the cheapest and are not the nicest but I like them. I have never had the experience of getting any cars broken into neither have my neighbors. Gates usually always working...you must live in Bridge Hollow...nothing ever really happens in Point South. Well...thats what i gotta say!
