I don't know if the other Gables properties are the same as this one, but after living in a lot of apartments across Austin, I have to say this is my best experience. The office staff acts more like a concierge service with their attitude of serving their residents. When you call or walk in the office, they always try to remember your name and are extremely polite.

The maintenance staff is friendly and efficient. (It has been the same crew the entire 2 years we've been here.) I mean, if you call to say some minor thing is not working, they are there immediately... we have even waited to submit minor maintenance requests because we know they will be headed right over once we called.

The grounds are very beautiful, with lots of deer and even rabbits. (I actually saw a skunk, once. Not as nice, but the property does have the feel of a nature preserve.) There are lots of interior windows, and we have beautiful sunset views over the nw hills from our living, dining, and patio.

There are lots of longtime residents, so it doesn't have that high-turnover feel of some complexes.

We are VERY noise sensitive and have found our apartment to be very quiet. Even our interior doors are the super-soundproof MDF.

Parking gets a little crowded, but we are almost always able to park in front of our place.

I don't know how this company is able to get such qualified staff. They must pay well and have high performance standards. In any case, I highly recommend this place. We will only be moving because we are building a house, but we were just remarking on what a great place this has been for us for 2 years.
