My summary may be a little long, but if you're considering this place at all for your next residence please read!

The management and maintenece of this facility is the worst I have ever encountered. The apartment I lived in a had a rampant roach problem. I put in several maintanece requests (5) to have my apartment sprayed. Each time it wasn't completed I was given an excuse. The main reason they gave me was the exterminator couldn't access my apartment due to the fact that my dead bolt was locked. This doesn't make sense to me b/c if the dead bolt was locked that meant I was home and would have anwered the door. No matter how many times I complained my apartment was never sprayed.

I week before I moved out of my apartment I found a live mouse in my outside storage closet. I called and asked to have it removed and had to call several times before someone responded. A maintanence worker came and killed the mouse, but instead of disposing of the mouse properly, it's dead body was thrown over my balcony to attract more bugs!! As a wonderful side note, everything in my storage closet had mouse feces all over it, and I had to throw away $80 worth of my own personal property, for which I was not re-embursed.

I few weeks after I moved out I received a bill from The Preserve for $633.83!!!! They charged me for replacing the carpet, fully painting the apartment, sweeping my balcony and other ridiculous charges!!! There were only two small stains on the carpet and one or two small holes in the wall from where I had hung some curtains. I did not even have a dog or other animal that could have ruined the carpet. These charges are absolutely ridiculous and unfair, especially after the terrible crappy service I recieved while I was a resident at this facility! I tried to talk to the apartment manager about these fees and she wouldn't even listen to me and was completely rude to me. I unfortunately have to pay these charges because I don't want any negative marks to go on my credit.

In conclusion, this is the worst place I have ever lived and I would never recomend anyone to choose this for their next apartment unless you like roaches, mice, and crappy rude management. This is a horrible evil place!!!!!!!!!!1

Reading reviews like this one shows just how unhinged from reality some renters are. This complex was prarie grass less than two years ago -- of course pests will be a problem. Splurge $10 to buy roach baits and mouse traps instead of complaining.

Regarding the carpet replacement: Unfortunately this is now common place with most large management companies and real-estate investment trusts (REITs). Lincoln Management, Gables, Asset Management, and several others do the same, but pro-rate the cost of carpet based on your length of tenancy.

Unhinged from reality is right.

Lady, if you bothered me as much as you appear to have bothered the staff with silly complaints, I'd be rude to you also. A mouse? In an outdoor closet? Wow. And did this lady really get bent out of shape because the guy threw the carcass into the field? Too funny. What is proper disposal of a dead mouse anyway? Build a little casket and bury it in the pet cemetery? You know things don't stay buried there for long. And then she threw away stuff because it had mouse droppings on it. And then wanted the apartment to pay for it. Man, I've gained a new respect for people in the apartment business...how do you keep from laughing in the face of someone this unreasonable?
