Really nice place to live

Definitely the nicest place I have lived. 1.5 miles south of the La Frontera complex, with multiple restaurants and shopping (Sams, Circuit City, Bed Bath and Beyond, Barnes and Noble, Lowes, Old Navy, etc.) Very close access to both tollways and to I-35.
Even though all this is nearby, it seems you are living away from the city because of all the trees. You can see the elevated tollways in the distance, but its far enough away that you only hear it if motorcycles are racing at night. Its far enough from the train tracks that you hear the train off in the distance at night instead of being a lot closer like it is at some properties.
This place is built on a small nature preserve and has lots of birds during the day and rabbits running around at night.
I've never had a problem feeling safe here, the place is gated and they do criminal background checks on residents before allowing them to live here.
There are two pool complexes, one at each end of the property, each with an activity pool, lap pool and hot tub.
There is a passable 24hr fitness center, if you missed your gym workout, it's okay, I wouldn't really recommend it as your primary workout location. There is also a 24hr laundry room which is not heavily used since I believe most residents hook up their own washer/dryer in their apt.
This place is about 6 years old and my apartment looked like new except for the carpet (no problem with the carpet, I could just tell it wasn't new.)
