I would DEFINITELY recommend Presidio!!! The turn around time for maintenance requests is unbelievably fast (under 48 hours), considering the number of units on the property. Also, the type of clientele that live at Presidio are working young adults, retirees, and families. VERY FEW times have I ever had a complaint about noise. On a friday night you will see cars parked, because people are home with their families - not out partying downtown on 6th. Presidio is NOT a college-party-crowd community. While there may be a few of those types on the grounds, they are outnumbered by the working "joes". As far as the manager, Erica, she has been at Presidio since it was opened and is VERY helpful with any questions/concerns. Shannon is also a wonderful help and is always reasonable. As far as the other people that work at presidio, I will agree they do not seem as concerned as Shannon and Erica, but ideally Presidio personnel DO work with their renters/clientele. I wish I could take this apt complex with me to arizona!!! For the price, Presidio is WORTH it! I have lived in Austin (various parts) since 2001 and have lived in 3 other places, but have been at Presidio for 2 years now and love it. The only people that complain about Presidio are the low-lives that Presidio tries its best to avoid renting to - this is why they have such high standards for backgrounds checks (you can't have any felonies, etc.) and income requirements. The party-crowd, those w/felonies, warrants, and those that can't ever pay their rent on time are the people Presidio turns away - and I AM GLAD FOR THAT!!! Regarding parking - yes, if you come in at 10 pm at night, you will probably have to park a little farther (maybe 150 ft) from your apt door. However, there is enough parking around you CAN find a place.
