I have not lived here for as long as other 'posters' and I obviously have not gone through the move out experience, so I won't criticize the people who wrote negative reviews based on those issues. I do, however, have issue with those complaining about noise, parties, etc..

Ok people, every time I have had to look for a new place to live, I always make sure and check out the properties I am leaning towards to make sure they fit my demographic and what I am looking for. I am a 23 year-old young professional male and graduated from UT in 2004, going back to law school this coming August. I chose to live here because its close to my place of work, is packed with young people, and has great amenities. This is a great place to live if you're under 25 and don't yet have kids. Just checking out the apts and the scene around the pool/gym should reveal what kind of people live here. I'm not quite ready to have 2 kids and a wife and stuff them in an apartment full of college kids and young professionals...obviously if that's you then the blame lies on you for not researching the place you pick properly. I subleased a nice 1-1 with a carport for a steal from a girl who moved to Houston and I am having a blast. While my full-time job keeps me from partying every day like when I was in college, I still like to party and drink and stay up until 7 during the weekend. If you're a young professional who hasn't turned into a worn-out, bitter old scrooge (who called the residents here snobby, beemer-driving rich kids) or you're a college student with money to splurge, this is the place for you. You will have fun and you will live in a complex full of hot young people with money. That is what I wanted when I moved and that is what I got. Thank you Regency Park. You might be interested to know that the demographics of this complex has changed radically over the past couple of years. There were a lot of unhappy people who had a legitimate beef with the changes. Yes, anyone that moves in NOW should see it for what it is, but let's not forget the people who were there BEFORE the place became a giant, glorified frat house.

I think it's terrific that people live life to their fullest, and if that means staying up all night, more power to them. BUT, Austin has noise laws, and regardless of whether you're 16 or 60, laws are laws and rules are rules. Have as much fun as you want, but still show respect to your other neighbors in regards to noise. I have some neighbors who like to stay up all night on their balcony. That's fine. I don't care. But they make a lot of noise and it wakes me up. Yes, I am old (at 45), but even when I was 25, I still had to be at work at 8am and still had to get to bed at a reasonable time. I hope I'm not considered to be one of those "Bitter" people that the gentleman referred to in his letter. For the record, I don't consider myself to be bitter. I'm just happier when I get my sleep. Law-man, I agree with you completely. This is a great place to live. I am new to the community, and while looking, I had criteria to be met. I am a single, young professional. This place is great, you can get away from the noise at any time, if you use your brain a bit. For those "bitchin," have you really taken a look at what you have at this complex?
