Hello, me and my boyfriend lived here for 2 years. At first glance, this place looked pretty nice. How looks can be so deceiving! The management was unbearable. (REALLY!!) Swimming at the pool and soaking in the hottub was not an option because of frequent drug dealings. It was very difficult to sleep at night because college kids were partying and raising h*** all night long. If you don't have a garage, don't even think about parking here. (even if you have a carport) Apartment break-ins was a daily occurrance. Me and my boyfriend were sleeping when they actually tried to break in. It sure was a frieghtening experience!! In late 2008, 2 people were held up at gunpoint in the parking lot. These statements are true and can be verified by checking police records. You might as well be living ono East Riverside. Rent started at $840 for a 1 bedroom, 1 bath sunroom. When we left in April of 2009, our rent was $958 per month. It would have gone up to $989 if we had stayed. This does not include the water/sewer/trash, electricity, gas, cable/satellite or washer/dryer rental! We were already paying over $1400 for everything! (for 839 sqft) The electricity bill is exceedingly high...we almost never ran the ac! Sometimes our electric bill was as high as $200 a month alone! Forget about the so-called valet trash! One time we were 5 minutes late to putting our trash out. (you can't put it out at night because of the squirrels) They went through our trash, which we believe is an invasion of privacy and got charged $50 per bag! We got out of Texas and are currently living in an AWESOME complex in Overland Park, KS. We are currently paying $925 for a MUCH nicer apartment(and area)with an attached garage, brand new appliances and countertops, wood floors in the bathroom and kitchen, gorgeous door knobs, wooden ceiling fan, even a door bell...and 949sqft! Our new place in on the lake, which we love because we fish everyday. At any rate, we will never live in TX again! (they seem to make their own rules)

Please don't rule out Austin, Texas because of this horrible place that is Regecy Park Apartments. They just suck plain and simple. It was a horrible place when I lived there from 2006-2007. Sounds like the crime has gotten even worse. Overland Park, KS is understandably a very lovely place and very close to Kansas City. (Great shopping oppurtuniies....) Unfortunately, you got taken up with the facade of Regency Park like the rest of us. I agree with everything you said. They went through my trash too and charged me $50. I refused to pay it because it was absolutely ridiculous! Of course, that did not work out well for me because problems with the office just continued. Good luck to you! It feels like I escaped from some horror film when I left.

HORRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE...Is that blonde ----- Amy still the property manager? Don't even try taking a problem to her. Shes such a stuck up ----- and she only cares about herself. And that old ---- Kathy, haha what a ----. ---- REGENCY APARTMENTS!

Wow. I bet you did something wrong, and I bet they wish they could rate YOU. These Reviews, if you dare call them that, crack me up when I'm bored! I can tell some people do nothing but post comments repeatedly, like a 'following' of some sort. Get a life or make peace with yourself. You wonder why someone might be rude to you...
