Ok place to live but I'd never move back

Ah where to begin' I lived at Research Pointe for three years. In the beginning everything seemed fine but after a switch in management everything fell apart quickly. Maintennance is deplorable here. Expect to ask time and again to get repairs completed and still don't expect to see it happen. It took a month to get a very leaky shower fixed in the half bathroom. Even after it was fixed, the tile they had to break to replace one of the faucets was never fixed before I moved out - at least six months afterwards.

Animals had free access to our attic and units share attic space. So technically a person could have crawled from one apartment to another. The first and second year a cat gave birth to kittens above the apartment. The first year this happened, maintennance removed them and promised to make sure nothing could get in the attic anymore. The second year, four kittens were born and three died. They fell inside our walls where we were forced to rescue them by cutting two large holes. The holes weren't fixed for fice months after the incident.

The second apartment manager I had liked to take off early from work and closed the office with her. Very inconvenient for people who have to work all day but may need to speak with her directly. Very pleasant to talk with, yes, but don't expect her to do much for you.

Like cable' Don't expect much flexibility. Research Pointe has a contract with a specific cable company so there is no way to change it. It was free when I lived there but that was the only thing good about it.

To top it all off, my roomates and I made numerous improvements to the apartment that came out of our own pockets; we replaced the kitchen sink, we repainted the walls (with the paint they provided); we water-blasted carpet remnants from our patio and countless other improvements to an otherwise shabby apartment. We left the apartment in better condition than when we left and they still kept our deposit so they could "get the stove cleaned".

Do not move here unless you have no other alternative.
