Rude Staff, Noisy Neighbors and No One Cares

My husband and I have been living at The Reserve at Walnut Creek since April 2005, and we are not impressed. Though the apartments are fairly spacious, we have found that the management and staff is rude and doesn't really care about the tenants -- not even tenants like us who consistently pay the rent ahead of due date and don't cause problems. In July, I had ordered a package and had paid extra shipping charges to get it delivered overnight. I work 8-5 on weekdays so even though I knew the package would be there on Friday, I could not pick it up until Saturday. I sent my husband to pick it up on Saturday only to find out that the only staff member there was a temporary who did not have a key to obtain packages for tenants. I asked her to page the manager as I really needed the package. At first she couldn't get a hold of him and when she finally did, she informed me that he asked that he was not going to come and help me out and to stop bothering him about this. In another incident, a very noisy neighbor lives above us -- we believe it be a hyperactive kid who is consistently (no exaggeration) jumping or hopping and making noise. We tried to the old "broom handle on the ceiling" trick to no avail. So, I finally called the office to see if they would do something about it. Again, no help provided. They said I needed to either go up there myself and tell them to keep it down or page the courtesy officer. By the way, they did not have the number to the courtesty officer. DO NOT LIVE HEAR IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED WITH COURTESTY AND RESPECT. The only reason we are still here is because we signed a 1-year lease. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO OUR WORST ENEMY.

Package holding is a courtesy. You seem like disrespecting people that are a blessing to be gone

Package holding is a courtesy!?! Who do you think you are? Why don't you fix the package boxes out by the mailboxes and drop this confrontational posture? No wonder folks negative reviews focus on the management's rotten attitude.
