I'll stop off by venting, because I have not slept at all last night, due to this apartment complex, but however I will focus on some of the nice things here.
Now whatever you do, do not live in building 26, specifically, apartment 2601. My window is literally right across from the Sun Harvest loading dock. At 11:00pm, at least once a week, a semi truck will pull into this loading dock and leave it's engine running all night. If that doesn't keep you up, at 4 in the morning they will start unloading it and throwing palettes into the back of the truck. Now if THAT still doesn't wake you up, trash services for the adjcent business will come at 3:00am to collect the dumpsters, they will pick them up and slam them down. At 5:00am, the Garabage truck for the apartment complex will come and and pick up the dumpsters and slam them down. If you are a light sleeper like me, this place is not for you!
On to other things. My roomate and I did not have hot water for about two months. Our hot water heat would constantly blow a fuse and they would have to come out to reset it. Eventually we learned how to do this, and despite telling them every day they did nothing and we would have to manually reset our water heater. Eventually it blew completely and they replaced our water heater.
Speaking of water, the water to the complex probably got shut off at least once a month for the whole day while they made some repairs. For three days I had a contstruction crew outside of my windows with giant spot lights working on repairing teh water lines.
Starting 1 month after we got there they began a major construction overall on the pool and club house. While this is now finished and very nice, it was frustrating living in a construction zone for 9 months. The new pool, fitness and club house are great, but you can beat they will be raising rent to pay for it.
Overall the office staff was very nice. My next door neighbor apartment was actually used as a storage area for the maintance guys so it's not uncommon for me to see 5 guys standing around by my car every single morning, however they were all very friendly and did a good job repairing what we needed.
We did also have our apartment floor from the AC unit filling up and leaking water every where, however they did clear our carpets, which, were absolutely filthy the day we moved in...
Overall it's a good location, and the grounds are really pretty and the new admentities are nice, but not with the price for a 1 bedroom if you are not sharing the rent with someone, and for god sakes, do not live in APT 2601 unless you love the sound of semi trucks and dumpsters getting slammed on the contrete at the late hours of the night.
