Horrible.

Back when this place was the AMLI at Wells Branch, everything was great. The office staff was pleasant, the gates always worked, maintenence was ontime and courteous. Then The Retreat took over. They turned this complex into Hell. As others have said, the gates are ALWAYS broken. You have to pay $25 deposit for the remote, which is useless since the gates don't work. Parking is horrible, especially since you have to pay $25 extra per month for covered parking. The office staff is horrible. They are all rude, unless you are a "prospective renter" Then they are nice and friendly. Once they have you locked down into a contract, you can forget about any kind of congeniality or cooperation at all. I would advise anyone thinking about renting here to think again. It's not worth the headaches. Also, beware of all the hidden fees they don't tell you about. Think you might want to buy a house after living here' It costs $50 for them to tell the mortgage company that you live here, and they don't even do that correctly. All in all, I am so happy this nightmare is over, and I will never have to deal with these people or that place ever again.
