I've lived here for a year now. It's not a bad place.
Cons:
-Inconsiderate neighbors who blast music from their cars. Hey, 2pm on a Saturday, thats fine. 3am on a Tuesday morning' (This happens frequently if you live facing the parking spaces)Not cool. Have some respect.
-Dumb neighbors, like the ones who beat each other and then scream, "BABY I LOVE YOU I'M SORRY" while bleeding everywhere.
-Parking. No matter what they tell you, unless you are in a far corner of the property, parking sucks. Covered parking is a reasonable charge, and you can haggle.
-Successively dumber postmen who deliver to the wrong addresses. (Not really their fault)
- Sometimes flakey staff. I was told I'd get a call back about an upgrade, never did.
- Insulation sucks, I paid over 200 dollars for a 1/1 on the 3rd floor in July. Don't face west on the 3rd floor.
Pros:
-Nice sized floorplans, for reasonable rates (800sq/ft for 675, built in 2004').
-I've seen some stuff on here about maintenance being awful, but I've had good experiences. I had the handle on my fridge break and the small lights under the cabinet go out, both were replaced within 2 days.
-Utility provider choice. You aren't locked in with Time Warner's ridiculous prices; and going with other utility providers besides TXU or Austin Energy can net you some great savings.
-Trash compactors are nice, they haven't been overflowing in months.
-Lot of people moving out, lease prices are cheap right now with the economy.
