You can alwasy find another career. Unless, you have no other skills or education.

Oh my goodness. Did you graduate from high school with that lack of ability in the grammar/spelling area? I'm surprised you were hired at an apartment complex when you seem to have the intellect of somebody who would be working fastfood. It sounds like somebody needs a nap. :)

I am married to a person in the apartment maintenance field and I too have a lot of difficulties with some of what I'm reading. I agree with you that each and every resident thinks they are the center of the known universe and they have no scope of what is involved in the jobs of the people they criticize; this is particularly true with regard to maintenance staff. I was just another person of a similar mindset to these tenants until I got to live what the experience is from the other side. I particularly dislike that I have seen reviews on this site where people have no qualms about naming the people they determined are bad at their jobs by name regardless of the fact that the people they're defaming (it is an actionable offense to engage in slander or libel against a private citizen) have invested years of their lives in trying to build a professional reputation and have children to feed.

No, you cannot always find another career. That is spoken like a very young, very privileged person.

I think it's fine that this site exists and people have the right to leave negative reviews if they see fit. But, I would like to see them tempered by a certain amount of wisdom, a more knowledgeable view of the situation, and less venom.

The landlord-tenant relationship, by its very nature, will always be a certain amount like having to do a project with a co-worker you can't stand. Just be aware before you trash people who whether or not you think so are working their butts off, probably harder than most doing the reviews ever will, that your view of the situation is colored by that relationship. If you want to escape it, you're going to have to buy a house (then you can have that kind of relationship with your mortgage banker, but at least if you're well paid, you can end that relationship pretty quickly.).

Last thing, to the poster: It really doesn't work to post something like this and end it with "love and peace." That's fairly ludicrous.

The original poster is clearly an idiot. However, I think he did make some good points. Or at least I think he did, his squabble was pretty hard to follow. When reading the reviews you can usually tell the people that are "problem" tenants. Pretty much the people with the attitude that: "I'm paying for this apartment, the staff should be my servants." Note to all: the staff is there to serve you, not to be your servant. There is a great difference. Treat people with respect and you may be amazed that that rude, inept, **** is actually the friendly, competent, professional others talk about.
