I lived at the Riata for two years and had a great experience. The apartment was sparkling clean when we moved in. The staff was always friendly and responsive to problems. They didn't give us any issues when we moved out. Even though there were some stains on the carpet and a sizable hole in the wall (new puppy went through a plaster-eating phase), they gave us back our full security deposit. The gym is a good size and very well maintained. And the grounds are beautifully kept. I would recommend the Riata to anyone moving to Austin.
