I've been living here for 2 years and it is the best apartment complex I have lived in. The girls at the Greymoss village office are fantastic. Tons of amenities that are always maintained (this is rare for most apartments). This place is worth every dollar for anyone who is social or is new to Austin looking to meet new people.

The pros:
-massive gym that has working equipment
-dog park, makes it so much easier on us large dog owners
-jogging trails with lake
-friendly neighbors
-great staff (makes all the difference)
-front gates always work
-maintenance is reliable
-nice apartment units

The cons:
-apartment was broken into, fortunately (or unfortunately) they were only after our liquor... you really need to be careful living here with all the break ins that occur(and especially keep an eye on the maintenance coming into your apartment)
-183 access road is really dangerous pulling onto (lots of accidents), and cars speed on Riata Trace. But you get used to it

Overall a great place, and I would do it all over again despite the break in. Fortunately I have a dog. If amenities are not important to you, then I would recommend finding an apartment in a safer area. The gated community gives a false sense of security here.

Gated community...someone is kidding about that one.. all those nice walks in and around the buildings with no gates or ones that aren't locked or lockable... and if you can drive those electric carts on them...... And have you been outdoors at night... the kids gathering in the plantings and the men who get pretty much too close to the first floor windows.. it raises one's aprehension level.

The gates are always broken, at least in the woodtrail village.
