I really like the Ridge. I think a lot of the past reviews must have been due to the problems with prior management...' The people in the leasing office are very cool and all of my issues have been handled effectively.

Parking is good I always get a spot near my building. (Pigeons are habituating in the trees avoid parking under there...) I would agree with a previous post that more parking lot lights would be nice, but I have never felt un-safe on the grounds.

There isn't any noise that I have to complain about ... I'm right above the pool and I have never had a problem even with my apt. windows open.

I feel as though the grounds are properly maintained. I have already mentioned the birds and I guess that would be my number one complaint but the staff cleans up after the birds on a regular basis. The flowerbeds look nice and there are plenty of trees around the buildings. The front pool has more attention than the back complex pool but no so much so that it is "dirty" or even "un-clean" in its appearance.

I feel totally safe in my apartment and in the apt area of Far West in general. As a young female safety was a very important factor in choosing my apt. The Ridge has created socials for their residents that have allowed me the opportunity to meet people in the community. Meeting the apt. tenants has been nice and it does encourage a caring community dynamic. The bus route for UT and #19, which goes downtown, is directly across the street-I have no issues with safety there either. HEB, Food places, CVS, the library and post office are all safe walking distances.

I like pretty much everything with my apt. I have not had any major issues that the staff has not addressed. (The work of the outside hired contractor has been questionable but when it was addressed to The Ridge staff all problems were resolved.) I had extra shelving build into my closets by the maintenance staff before I moved in. Most of the maintenance staff (Richard and Larry) know me by name and they say hello in passing.

Like I said before I think the office management must have changed hands... the people in the office all know me by name and I hang out there on occasion because everyone is really nice. Veronica and Keegan are almost always the face in the office and they are more than helpful. I have not had too much interaction with the manager Larry but he also knows me by name and I would be willing to approach him with any concerns if something would come up.
