A nice place to live, but don't expect much of the staff.

The Ridge is a well-kept apartment complex that offers good value for money. It's on the UT shuttle route and two city bus lines. It's within walking distance & close to HEB as well as other stores, restaurants, and even a post office and library.
Never lived in a place so convenient and scenic.
We picked The Ridge after viewing an apartment complex across the street where the dames in the office gave off an eerie Stepford Village vibe. The Ridge seemed a nicer place and there was less pressure on us to rent there so we did. The Ridge office guy was a wheeler-dealer but he seemed to give mostly credible answers and he got us into a unit pretty quickly.
Once moved in, everything was great but then things changed. I won't go into details but let's just say the staff in the office and the maintenance guys are perfectly nice but they don't always help you when they say they will. Expect to have to call them like 3 times to get one job done. Also sometimes they 'fix' things and they remain broken. It's annoying.
Otherwise this is a good home and I'd recommend it. (Flakey people are everywhere, what are you gonna do')
P.S. Also if you rent here you can go by the front office and get free coffee, muffins, cookies and movies. That's a bonus.
