Great place if you want extra pets

These apartments were great for the first month I lived there... then, I started to get INFESTED with silverfish. They were everywhere. In my bed, in the kitchen, in my picture frames and they said they sent someone out to spray ... the next week I had even more. I had scorpions in apartment, water bugs and heaven's knows what else!

I ended up buying my own insect spray that i sprayed once a week to try and take care of the problem. They said that the complex was built on an old water treatment facility and there is nothing they can do about the bugs.

The carpet was disgusting and they wouldn't replace it.

The parking sucked! I would have to park on the opposite side of the complex and have to walk through a dark parking lot late at night (who doesn't go out with friends every once and awhile).

I would get "notices" on my door about the patio lights i had on my balcony, saying that if i didn't remove them, i would get charged a fee ... funny enough, the apartment right next to me had lights that were green wired had his up the entire time I lived there ... including after Christmas.

I had maintenance come to my apartment and not leave a notice but they were gracious enough to leave a huge mess! I was terrifed that someone was in my apartment without me knowing about it. When I questioned management about it, they said it wasn't them, that they would never leave a mess.

My thermostat was constantly broken so I was getting bills for $160 - this became and issue with Austin Energy.

Towards the end of my lease, I had these guys that lived on the first floor across the parking lot from me that hooked up their surround sound on their patio. They would blare it all hours of the night. Me shouting at them never was enough and when I called the police, everyone scattered. I informed management but nothing was done as the next night, they were yelling and screaming at 4:30 in the morning ON A SUNDAY NIGHT!

When I moved out, I got a check in the mail for over $700. I was expecting a refund on my deposit. When I called the office to ask what in the hell i was being charged for, they said, oh, we made a mistake. hell yeah you did - i got my deposit back minus the amount they take out for water ....

My water bills were another issue. They averaged $30/month! 30 bucks for one person who is never there (I traveled for work).

The floorplan and layout were great though and I loved the kitchen and cabinet space but I would fork all that over to not live with insects!
