FUTURE TENANTS BEWARE

My roommate and I were excited to find this place on Craigslist. At the time, they were offering a $500/month rent special. We signed our lease not knowing that this special was only good for up to 6 months (Rainier broke the leases of former tenants to accomodate renovations). I was very unhappy that my leasing agent failed to mention this clause until our names were already on a lease and we were scheduled to move because they'd given us the impression we'd be able to sign for a year.
I thought we were getting a fabulous deal on this newly renovated place. I have to admit that it does make a great first impression. The new modern decorations look very trendy and new. However, this got old very quickly. We had agreed upon and signed to a move-in day back in December. On that day, our apartment wasn't even finished. The manager had to apologize to us and ask if we could move in a day or two LATER. The bathroom was unfinished, there was paint and dust everywhere, and the new paint fumes were very strong.
In the four months that I have been there, we probably have to call management to get something fixed in our apartment EVERY WEEK. The problem is that in order to get all the renovations done in time and start making money, Rainier rushed the renovations leaving us with a ton of problems. The management staff is very nice but they have no clue what they are doing.
My advice to people researching this place is to take your money elsewhere. You will save yourself a lot of time and inconvenience.
