To Whom It May Concern:
My boyfriend and I moved into a 2 bedroom apartment at a complex named River Stone Ranch May 7, 2007. When we moved in I could tell it smelled funny but I couldn't figure out what it was. I figured that they had painted the walls or done some construction. A couple weeks after moving in, I confronted the leasing agents and asked them if someone had died in my apartment. To which they all told me "no" and "why would you say that" and I told them that my apartment smells very weird. A week after that my neighbor informed me that the resident who lived there before me had in fact died of a heart attack and laid there a week. What is really funny is that there was a huge black stain on my carpet when the leasing agent was showing me the apartment. And she told me to take pictures of it because I wouldn t want to be charged for it. When I confronted the leasing office of the information I was informed of, the leasing agent told me in fact that he had died but they didn t want to tell me. Nice!! Then in January I woke up to it raining in my apartment. The neighbor above me pipes broke behind the wall and flooded my bathroom, master bedroom, and dining room. River Stone Ranch maintance only came out and sucked up the water with a shop vacuum. I called them a week later to inform them that the ceiling in my dining room was crack straight across and all the walls were all stained with brown/black water. They came out and painted then a day later it seeped back through. Then a week later it seeped through again. They painted 3 times. My apartment THEN smelled weird plus the smell of mold every time I turned on the air conditioner. I ended up moving out April 23, 2008 after being severely ill and after my dog started having seisures. Before I moved out my insurance adjuster call the Office Manager to see if they would just move me into a new apartment and I would renew my leasing another year. The Office Manager informed him that they had been more than accommodating to me but if I wanted to move out it would be $350 to move and my rent would increase to $1440 per month. At that time my insurance adjuster told me my best bet it to just move out. So we moved out April 23 and have been paying the rent in hopes that they could re-lease the apartment. Well no one has leased the apartment and I just found out that the ceiling collapsed this past weekend. The ceiling collapsed because maintance had not fully repaired the leak and it was still leaking. So now I am paying rent on a place that is un-rentable and smells like a dead guy.
Also, the lining on the bathtub was defective and peeling. Yeah, they never fixed it and the head of maintance told me I was crazy. My leasing agent told a colleague of mine that I lived there and I lived with my boyfriend. That was her selling point!! I am glad she didn't want to kill me or there would be two deaths in that apartment. Next time don't disclose tenants information!!!! The staff at River Stone Ranch made my time there a living nightmare. They are super rude and unhelpful. Good luck if you sign a lease there. Oh, multiple neighbors of mine had there cars broken into and you can hear everything your neighbors say and do. An absoulute NIGHTMARE!!!! Thanks for NOT moving me into a new unit, I hope no one else gets stuck in a lease here. Contact a laywer asap if you get stuck in my old unit.

A.S....you are a freakin idiot. You are trying to get your apartment rented to break your lease correct? Your apartment, that you are continuing to pay for, is still vacant, yes? Why on earth would you write another $hitty review NOW? Stupid people...that could potentially rent your old apartment...look at this website before renting places, you know. Have fun shooting yourself in the foot.
Oh and by the way, Drew laid dead in your apartment for a little over an hour not a week, you heartless piece of....

Wow... yep, I was in building 16 as well. I moved out early about a month ago though to move in w/ my boyfriend. Unfortunately they still haven't leased my unit, probably because they're charging an outrageous amount for it. I never noticed mold in my particular unit, so mine must not have been affected by the leak (I had a 1 bedroom so they probably weren't next to each other).

Wow A spark. Now I understand what everyone says about you being a such a terrible chiropractor. People that are as angry, miserable and unhappy as you really shouldn't have a profession dedicated to helping people feel better. Get over it.

I lived in building #16. My neighbors on the 1st floor said that the water leaked down to there apartment too from the 3rd floor. The whole building probably has mold now.............I hope the Department of Health comes out and inspects.

The comments in rsponse to your honest post are clearly from the River Stone Ranch Apartment Management, which speaks low of them as professionals. It is sad knowing that you write a review concerning a nightmare situation and management constructs a bunch of childish replies attacking your character? Wow. I am so glad I never leased at RSR. Two of my friends live at RSR and they hate it and from what I see, the exterior is false advertising. The interior of these apartments have no quality and are poorly constructed. I live at the Austin Trail Apartment complex next door and have a two bedroom with genuine granite countertops, track lighting, wood floors and stainless steel appliances. My two friends at RSR are jealous of my gorgeous wall of windows, custom apartment. The exterior doesn't look as nice, but I can promise you that the management and maintenance team are seasoned professionals. I love AT....too bad RSR is plain sad.
