I am coming up on my second year and overall this has been a pleasurable place to live. It is perhaps a bit to "pet-friendly" as there is a slight problem with animal waste between some buildings. Utilities run on the high side - gas $35 (with only luke warm water), City of Austin Elect. $170, and Utilities Management Concepts (water) $45 ($250 total). I also believe they are slowly creeping their rates out beyond what is reasonable especially considering how far out from the city you really are.

Just read another review - scorpions. I am on the second floor and have killed about 10 scorpions (been stung once) and two centipedes in two years. Not a big deal to me (you are on the greenbelt), but a concern for those that are allergic or have small children. Some tarantulas and large tree spiders as well.

Then move, good Lord. You certainly have a lot of bad to say seeing as you've been in the same place for two years. Are you happy anywhere?

Lukewarm water? Take control of your life and turn up the gas control on your water heater, ya goof. And $170 for elec? I have a large apt on the top floor on the SW side and my highest has been $95.... lower your AC!

Anyone here think that maybe dvlsadvocate is on the staff? All his responses are on 11/01/05 and he seems to be taking these reviews personally. He and canoeman are the only two who even bother to respond to these things. Yes I have been happy other places and even have enjoyed this place to an extent. But again to sum up my earlier response - lots of bugs, high util. bills (avg $250.00), and prices getting too high for living this far from downtown. Anyway, I simply reported my opinion of the place. I too have a large apartment and my thermostat is set at 780 in the summer - not exactly Antartica. The gas heater is set to A and while I could set it higher why would I when the gas is already averaging $35 a month? Besides don't you see the irony in telling me to "take control of your life" and then telling me to lower my thermostat and raise my gas? Idiot. One the positive side I should add they are ----friendly. Just ask canoeman and dvlsadvocate.

Haha glad you responded to those two goofs. I think they are with the leasing agency. I am glad you reported your opinion, bc I want to know.
