Since I moved in to the RiverLodge everything has been just fine' If I see trash that has spilled over I pick it up, no problem' The kids' Just tell them to be quiet and go away they will. The parking' You will always have th eproblem no matter where you go unless you have a reserved spot or a garage so if you complain it's only because you want to. Everyone needs to park and some people just get home earlier than others. If people are turning your doorknob that does sound a little freaky and scary make sure to keep the door locked as you should at all times. Have you tried knocking on your neighboors door with the loud music and asking if the music could be turned down' I hear those people partying and talking loud outside early in the morning and believe me I open my patio door and tell them to "knock it off!" and they do. Management can't be everywhere. remember we live here and we need to watch out for us. I watch out for us and it weould be good if we all did the same thing. If you don't like the pools, the lake is right down the street :>). Don't let anyone or the little things steal your joy okay. Sincerely, Juice Apt 2013.

I have lived at several apartment complexes throughout my life, and this is the worst experience I've ever had. But being in the customer service industry for the majority of that life, I do have a certain standard that I expect from businesses when I am that customer. Riverlodge does NOT deliver good customer service, hence the constant turnover rate, as you will read in past reviews.

I've lived in many apartments over 20 years. This used to be an excellent place to live, one of the highest rated in Austin. I've also lived here long enough to judge the way it used to be compared to now. In the past the office staff would bend over backwards for the residents. Not so anymore. Upkeep and customer service have deteriorated to a large extent. I miss the way it was when I first moved here.

So, how should we work together to deal with the carpet cleaner who's cleaning someone's carpet in the building across from us at 1:00AM? Yes, you read that correctly, it's one in the morning and the complex has brought someone out to clean a unit with one the vans which makes an indescribable amount of noise. Nice. And if we can work together to get rid of the swarm of birds occupying the south end of the complex, roosting (and pooping) on porches, and generally annoying the hell out of people by making noise from 4:30am to about midnight, that would be great.

I understand your concern about the birds, however being on a nature preserve our control of the birds on property. If you are having problems with the birds directly concerning your apartment, please let us know. We will do what we can to help you without violating any preserve laws. We do not have anyone clean carpets in the middle of the night. However, we will have our carpet company come out to extract water from a leak that was called in as an emergency by one of our residents. Maybe that is what you were referring to? It is important to clean up the water as soon as possible so it doesn???t damage the apartment or apartments around it, mildew, and begin to smell. I apologize for the noise and your frustration. Just to address the ongoing turnover rate issue, Greystar Management has several properties in Austin and we are growing. Majority of our team has been transferred or promoted to a new position at another property unless they decided to pursue careers outside of the apartment industry. One of the managers that worked here is now the regional manager and several assistant managers and leasing professionals have climbed the ladder to a community manager position. I personally have had the pleasure of working with them at other properties. There will always be turnover in leasing offices because of the opportunities of advancement that exist within the management company, not just the property. Riverlodge has had ups and downs and we value your concerns about current and previous management. We would like to hear from you about any issues you are having and try our best to come up with a solution. Nobody is perfect and no property is perfect, but we want to do our best to work toward perfection. I hope this helped.

Being on a "nature preserve" does not mean that you should have problems with bugs. I have lived in the country most of my life and bugs were actually worse in suburban areas rather than rural areas. I think that's because in the country there are lots of critters that eat insects. It depends on the type of birds as to whether or not the complex can do anything about them. If the birds are grackles then they may be killed at any time according to the Texas Parks and Wildlife. http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/huntwild/wild/rehab/protected/
