The Amentities are Great but Rent Was Too High For Me

The staff is friendly but because of the management company that runs the property, it is hard at times to work with them. I paid WAY too much for a pet deposit- 300 non-refundable fee and $450 more for a pet deposit for two pets. The best thing about the apartment is the resort style living (it is nice to be by the lake and the boat parking makes that an even better plus). The onsite personal trainer is very nice. I love the free yoga classes and can't beat free brunch on Saturday mornings. It can be challenging to live in this community at times if you have school age children, as there are a few restrictions as to where they can play on the property. Lastly, the pet park is a new addition to the property and I do apprecia te the extra space to play with my dog. However, it definitely needs improvement. It is mostly dirt and rocks inside the fence and I don't feel very safe there at night because it is not well lit.
We are moving because we need more room and are tired of paying too much for this apartment. Furthermore, I can't continue to pay so much for rent, when I can get a nice 3 bedroom house in the vicinity for not much more per month.

Their small one bdrm 718sf is currently going for $609 a month. However there are several brand new communities in the area that have more to offer for the same price
