If you care about air conditioning in the summer, non-smelly sink water, not getting ripped off on your bills and a pest free apartment, this is not the location for you. First of all, these places are old, so things break A LOT. And the staff is usually unpleasant and rude so it takes more than one call and more than one complaint to get anything fixed. The water in my bathroom sink constantly smells funny and my A/C unit gave out at least 6 times in the 14 months I lived there. The water out of the tub faucet drips and the apartment staff told me "You'll just have to deal with it" otherwise they'd have to redo the bathroom and they weren't willing to spend that kind of money. They try to over charge you for your bills and this last month when I'm about to move out...all of a sudden there are 2 extra charges that mgmt said I have been paying all along, which I haven't been. Oh yeah, and I think the mailman thinks its funny to crumble up my mail and stick it in the mailbox even if there's plenty of room to place it in there nicely.
There are bugs all around and sometimes inside my apartment and the one time I thought I had a bat trapped in my fireplace, they wouldn't help me and call an exterminator...I had to take care of the problem myself.
It's very noisy with the garbage trucks and I guess Statesman trucks and some of the residents blaring rap music at all hours of the day either from their cars or from their house.
The location is cool because it's right by downtown but that's about the only plus side to living in these apartments. SROlYjGrgm2VnM-SactV
