If you move here you will not like it

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2007
I lived there from about 2005 and recently moved out in 2007. First let me say, that the manager and people in the office was very friendly. They almost always solved my problem but the staff members cannot make up for the people who live there. The people who live there are horrible! Maintenance fixed everything I needed except for one thing. For some reason, they couldnt fix my toilet correctly. I actually think they rigged it up in a way that it would use more water so they could charge more on my water bill.
Speaking of a water bill. Yes, the staff are nice but I really think the management falsifies the water bill because the water is paid directly to them. I had a roommate the first year I lived there and the water bill was about $14 per month. When my roommate moved out, my water bill continued to be about $14 per month. I know one person couldn't possibly use the same amount of water two people use if their patterns are exactly the same and my patterns were the same. I used even tremendous amount of less water after my roommate moved out! I think the office jipped me but I never said anything about it. My light bill decreased by almost $25 every month after my roommate moved out. So why wouldnt the water bill decrease too'' The water bill didn't even decrease by one dollar.
I had a third floor apartment and I swear the entire apartment was slanted. My kitchen was on an incline and it was higher than my bedroom. I had to walk upwards to get to my kitchen. This is the truth! I don't know who built these apartments but they built them all wrong and the foundation is all messed up. If you look at the front door, the door hits the door frame and you almost have to slam the door to close it because they didnt build them correctly. The stairs are all wobbly and when people run up and down the stairs, you can hear it very very good and the apartment vibrates when people run up and down the stairs. You can actually feel when people are walking up the stairs and near your apartment. The walls are very thin so you can hear the loud music and loud talking from the parking lot very clearly. It seems that whoever built these apartments got the blueprint from a cracker jack box! My neighbors ran up and down the stairs every morning from about 6:45am to about 7:30am and opening and closing their doors. They woke me up every morning and I was so upset every morning because the stairs vibrated my bed while I was asleep and the doors slammed because they were built wrong.
I am hispanic so let me put that out there before I say this. About 90% of the residents who live there are hispanic and about 50% of those are undocumented immigrants. I know this for a fact (and I wont say how). They would try to talk to me in Spanish and I didn't understand them. They assummed that I knew Spanish because I was Hispanic but I dont. I just know a few words and sentences but I am not very fluent at all. Anyway, everyone in the office is Hispanic and everyone on Maintenance is Hispanic. Actually, every single employee of the apartment complex is Hispanic so if you love the Hispanic heritage this is a place for you. If not, then........
But most of the residents are so rude. They play loud music all in the parking lots and when they have parties. They have parties on the lawn and in front of their apartment. After the parties, there is so much trash and empty beer bottles thrown everywhere. They won't even clean up after themselves. There are always broken beer bottles all in the parking lots and on the sidewalk and in the lawn. Maintenance must hate picking up all the glass from those broken beer bottles.
Oh yeah, the design of the kitchen is very weird. There is a small sink that is not even half the size of a regular sink and there is also a whole sink. You cant stand by the sink and load the dishwasher at the same time because the dishwasher door opens right in front of the sink pushing you away from the sink. So you have to lean over the dishwasher door and over to the sink. If you are a short person then it will be hard for you to reach the sink. It is very uncomfortable loading the dishwasher. It would be easier to just wash the dishes by hand, but that small sink makes it even hard to wash dishes. Only a few amount of dishes can fit in the sink at a time. The big sink doesn't hold the water properly and the water drains. Therefore, the best way to wash the dishes is using the dishwasher. This could also be a water scam but who knows'
Trust me. These apartments are not the best. There is a fitness center but ALL of the equipment is broken. No Kidding. Every single thing is broken. Nothing works so they should just stop advertising the fitness center. The only thing that works in the fitness center is the mirror! LOL! And some of the residents use the fitness center to gamble. I saw them rolling dice when I went to wash my clothes because the laundry mat is right across from the fitness center.
The laundry room is okay but the residents do not take their clothes out of the washer or dryer on time. Sometimes, I had to wait about 20 to 30 mintues for people to return to the laundry room to remove their clothes from the dryer. The dryer finished the cycle but people never were there to remove their clothes. That made me very upset because I never wanted to wait for a dryer especially if the cycle is completed. I should have just took their clothes out and sat them on the folding table. But then, they would have probably gotten mad and started a confrotnation if I touched their clothes. This makes me think that management should buy more washers and dryers. But there really isnt a need for more washers and dryers if people removed their clothes in a timely manner.
These apartments were not the best but definately not the worst. I think most people who live there like it but I am very picky and I like for almost everything to be perfect. Life isn't perfect but some things should never happen...like the building being slanted. Thats a modeling problem and what if the building just collapses one day because it isn't built right' Those buildings are a million-dollar lawsuit waiting to happen.
