Roaches, mice, and car thieves

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
Good things about this complex:
- Great views, good aesthetics
- Great location
- Friendly office staff
- Buildings are built to condo specs, so are quieter
- Free covered parking, as available
- Plenty of dumpsters
- No annoying speed bumps
- Property is clean, residents are friendly
Bad things:
- It's on the edge of a greenbelt, so there are huge tree roaches that come up through the kitchen plumbing area (even on the third floor), consequently I never have any food at home
- Mice in the kitchen, and wasps on the balconey, too
- My old crappy car has been broken into for the crappy stereo, not sure why, but they caught the guys
- Rent goes up every year, even if you're a good tenant
- Maintenance is quick, but inaccurate. My heater never shuts off automatically, the hot and cold water come out of the wrong spigots, and the air conditioning doesn't work on all vents
- Floor plan for the 1-bedroom is peculiar... unnecessary fireplaces, bathroom is long like a bowling alley, so is the kitchen
