I've lived at San Marin (phase 1) for the past five years and overall I've been pretty happy. Like everyone, I'm not excited about the increase in rent I've experienced every time I've re-upped, but I'm pretty sure that's common to all apartments these days and not just San Marin.

I'm in one of the apartments on the end, so I don't have neighbors above me so its been pretty quiet as far as noise is concerned. I have an attached garage and two balconies on either side so I've been pleased with the amenities.

I think there are things management could do to increase the appeal like keeping the pool cleaner (as has been mentioned) and be a little more regular with resident activities. But for the most part its been a great experience and I think they've done a good job with everything. The folks in the office have always been helpful. All-in-all I'd recommend San Marin as a great place to live.
