Great complex, small and quiet, really nice inside and out, 8 min walk to UT

I love living here! and like thet other review said, yes it is a pretty quiet complex, also small. its great if you actually do want to study. but basically all the surrounding apts have parties on the weekends so theres always somewhere to go if you like. Yes, the apartments are small, but its West Campus, thats how it is here. i live in the 1 bedroom and it is 488 sq feet. But there are lovely 9 foot (i think') ceilings and giant sunny windows. I have 6 giant windows and it nice and open and airy. Also berber capets and nice offwhite-ish wall paint. It really is a nice apartmnet.

The other thing that is nice is that the complex itself is small... only 17 units. Hence, the parking lot is also small. This is good and bad. Good because no matter where you park, youre always 10 seconds to your door. And bad because there are no spaces for guests. When people come to visit you, they can not part in spaces or they might be towed. However it seems to be okay if they park next to the grass (just not in a space) so this really isnt a problem.

Its an 8 minute walk (i timed it) to UT mainmall/6pack area---when youre late and rushing. If you want to just stroll along and take your time its more like 10 minutes. Also, the bus stop is one of the later west campus ones, so if you want to take the bus to UT you dont have to sit through a giant route, unlike those who live around the Fiji house and have a 15-20 minute ride if they want to take the bus to the south side of campus.

Ive only had 1 maitnence issue and that was for the air conditioning. Someone came to fix just a few hours after I called.

The one complaint that i do have is that they come to "show" the apartment quite frequently and they never give me as much notice as id like. most of the time theyll call and then be here 5 minutes later. and sometimes my phone is off so its a suprise when they show up. and sometimes i will be taking a nap after pulling an allnighter, and because i dont hear them knock on the door (sleeping) and they have key they just come straight in and i wake up to strangers in my apartment. and sometimes its not clean. so yeah, that is my complaint. but they do seem to "show" in sputs, i probably got 10 people coming in over a period of 2 weeks and then 2 months of nothing... but anyhow the people who visit always seem to love the apartment right away, my guess is the windows. it really is nice on the inside. and its looks appealing on the outside as well. my suggestion is if you do lease here, ask the managers about this and make some kind of agreement about viewings.

im living in the 1 bdrm and am paying $695 for 488 sq feet. which is kind of expensive but when you consider how close to campus and how nice it is, its totally worth it. compared to living in the dorms, and the fact that the provided dine-in dollars never last much more than a semester, its probably about the same price, maybe a little more.

Overall its a great place to live, the managers are really friendly and remember you personally, nice complex inside and out, its small (like the rest of west campus), quiet (the better to study), close to lots of frats, close to ut, close to bus stop and near end of route so the ride is short, CONS: guests cant park in spaces, too many strangers coming in to view apartment
