My View Point from an EX Resident

Shadow Creek is probably one of the WORST places you could live. The grounds are beautiful by day and dangerous by night. Yeah they have security if you think a 120 lbs woman or a 70 yr old man is going to protect you from ANYTHING. I have been out of there for almost six months and we never made a better decision. Our home there burnt down (Fire Inspectors STILL cannot find the reason for it) while we were riddled with "SO CALLED REASONS" from people who knew nothing. The NEW district manager who had never even BEEN to the property before showed up and accused my brother in law and his friend of "smoking crack" and "looking suspicious". I don't do drugs and do not tolerate people who do (thats another thing that is very abundant at Shadow Creek...Drug dealers, drug doers) She told the two of them, one black one mexican, that they needed to get off the property. I flew off the handle and told her that when the fire report came back and didn't say what she was accusing them of, that I was going to bring her to court. Two weeks later, she was fired. The management SUCKED. The Maintanence SUCKED even worse. We had huge soft spots all over our new apartment after the fire, things continuously were wrong and it took them FOREVER to fix them. They decided that they would fix a leak in our tub and my husband told them that if they did what they were doing for a "temp" fix that it was just going to ruin the downstairs apartment. He said he would be back on Monday to fix it. Two weeks later after repeated calls to the office about him not coming back.........the downstairs ceiling collapsed. Hmmm...suprise suprise. One of the Leasing Agents was fired after finding a nest of mold under her bed that was making her extremely sick. She said she was going to bring them to court..they fired her. Wonder how thats going!!
EVERY NIGHT I heard screams, fights, loud music, gun shots, you name it. I was afraid to sleep in my own home. That's alot of fun. The windows are like Paper Thin Glass, the building was tilting, things went wrong everywhere. I think my favorite two times there were when I was waiting for the gate to open to get OUT and a young girl came running to my car screaming for me to let her in. A man had tried to rape her and she pepper sprayed him. Not even a minute after I saw a man running covering his eyes. So I brought her and called the police. Next one'' I was at the gate to go IN and a ghetto car filled with ghetto people had RAMMED into the gate trying to get it open. They got out of the car one with his ----- hanging out and the other guys pants falling off. Two prostitutes then got out of the car pulling down a skirt. It was the sickest scene I had ever SEEN.
So all in all...if you like crackheads, drama, violence, falling down apartments, retarded managers, stupid maintanence, having to park blocks away from your home, elderly security and PROSTITUTES...then this is your dream home!! If not, steer clear.
