I think I just happened to hop into this place right after all the renovations had taken place. Some people live in entirely different conditions. I rented an eff. and it by no means was a depressing hell hole. It is basically like a one bedroom without the hallway. There were new appl. and carpet put in before I moved, and the only problem I have had has been a/c. It took only 2 days after my report to have someone fix it. I can walk 10 minutes to the nearest UT stop, or catch the Manor 20 to downtown, so no complaints there. They have actually kept the grounds decent and have recently planted some flowers for the spring. I can't say the mangement is bad for Austin. The price of living here is great with electiricity only running about $20 dollars. And the water, well it is true that showers can be hell, but I can't complain. Some days you have problems and other days you don't. If I decide to move back to Austin I would probably pick this complex again, just to stay under budget. But like I said, some eff. don't have new carpet or appl. like mine. I think they are in the process of re-doing odds-and-ins. Overall I would say for price range and comfort this place is suitable, coming from a girl too! And as I said before for an eff. in Austin to be as roomy as it was with my full size bed, and monster computer desk, and couch it fit me just fine. And one more thing to add, there hasn't been a single pest or bug problem since I have lived here and that is another plus for living at such a cheap rent.
