Pros and Cons From: genmac512 Date posted: 8/14/2006 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006 1 response   Lots of illegals, junkies, HUGE families in 2 bedroom apartments. On the upside, if you are a college student, you can count on those people not to call the cops on your party :) Most everybody nice, couple of lazy types who hang around and just beg for cigarettes. Heavily hispanic, lots of drunk drivers - do NOT part your car on the street under any circumstances. A drunk guy in a POS totalled a truck and a coupe in about 30 seconds. Maintenance is fast and good to deal with. Huge roach problem, but manageable with some spray for inside, as long as you keep your place clean. Rent very reasonable, very quiet neighborhood. Good location to downtown and I-35. Overall, be careful - you could do worse than here though. I carry a gun and park my car under the lights, and I've never had a problem.
